Belize is a beautiful country. Nestled on the coast between Guatemala and Mexico, it also has the longest barrier reef in the Americas. We stayed in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, which you can get to by boat or small plane.
We chose the latter.
The short ride over is memorable in itself—clear blue water with tiny bits of land.
After a few days of lounging on the beach…
we took a boat through some Red Mangrove swamp…
on our way to Lamanai, a Mayan site in Northern Belize.
We even saw a crocodile on the way home.
We did some snorkeling and more boat trips as well, seeing lots of birds in the process.
All in all, it was a great relaxing week. I was sorry to say goodbye as we flew back to Belize City enroute towards home.
Happy Blog Anniversary! I’ve been enjoying your blog for a while now. And, do tell what books you read.

Thanks! I am planning on a post on the books I read last week. They were all good and deserve some good reviews. And with the exception of one, none are new books.
