Last night was my first class at culinary school. I found the whole thing very fun and intense. Eight hours of school after a full work day will be challenging but rewarding. Last night’s topic was fruits and nuts. I made granola and a berry gratin with creme fraiche and brown sugar. Here are some not very good photos:
I’ll be bringing my camera with me to class, so hopefully have better photos of the whole experience.
Those photos don’t look bad at all, actually! I didn’t know you were beginning culinary classes. Good for you! But how on earth do you work a full day at the bookstore and then have 8 hours of classes?

What can I say? Instead of “Congrats and all the best”? Break A Spoon? I know you are
going to leave me hungry every time I read this blog! Lemme know what you think of the
New Eco novel. Is it as good as they say? Have not had a good experience with him since
“Name of the Rose”. Maybe I should go back and re-try “Foucault’s Pendulum” or “Island
of the Day Before.” All the best.
